Bercerita mengenai alternate dimension dari dunia nyata, pencipta game ini dengan cerdiknya mengkaitkan tokoh-tokoh bersejarah dunia dengan alur cerita yang disisipi berbagai teori konpirasi terkenal. Inti ceritanya mengisahkan tentang perseteruan dua faksi rahasia: Assassin Brotherhood dan Order of the Knights Templar sejak era perang salib hingga era modern tahun 2012 dengan sederet pelaku sejarah yang di'klaim' adalah anggota dari salah satu dari dua organisasi rahasia tersebut, seperti Leonardo da Vinci, Nicolaus Copernicus, Piri Reis, Mahatma Gandhi, Napoleon Bonaparte, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Alfa Edison, John F. Kennedy, hingga George W. Bush.
Tapi post kali ini didedikasikan untuk Grand Master Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze (1459-1524) yang perjalanan hidupnya dikisahkan dalam 3 judul game. Setelah pihak Ubisoft (developer game) memutuskan untuk menutup cerita Ezio dengan kematiannya pada umur 65 tahun, saya akhirnya merencanakan membuat postingan ini sebagai apresiasi terhadap karakter Ezio yang menurut saya begitu cemerlang. Maka, berikut ini adalah quote-quote sejak Ezio muda hingga menjelang kematiannya:
